FOOD DRIVE THIS WEEKEND! Please bring your food donations for the United Food Bank here to church on Sunday 3/7 from 8am–1pm or Monday 3/8 from 9am-11am. Thank you for helping to feed the East Valley Hungry. MVLC has more than 150 volunteers collecting food and, with your help, anticipate donating more than 1,000 pounds!! Thank you!
COAT/OUTERWEAR DRIVE: please help the Alhambra School District collect clean gently used coats and outwear for the students of Montebello Elementary School. In need of all sizes for children, ages 5-14. We will be placing a large box with a sign for the coats in the Narthex beginning March 14. FLOAT UPDATE: Thank you for your outpouring of recyclables! Now we are only collecting shiny wrappers like candy, granola bar, and potato chips. Please bring to the preschool office. ALL CHILDREN OF THE CONGREGATION K-5th grade are invited to join the Joyful Noiz Choir in participating in the Passion Cantata and Play being presented the weekend of March 27th/28th. Rehearsals are Wednesdays from

XTRA NEEDS YOU! We are looking for coordinators and volunteers for the Wednesday program. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR VBS: The Baobab Blast, God’s Great Get-Together is coming June 21-25, from 9am until noon. Join the fun as we celebrate sharing the good news of God’s love through games, songs, stories, activities and more in an exciting African environment – all under Baobab Blast’s overarching theme of community. CALLING SINGERS! Come join the festival choir in presenting: No Greater Sacrifice, music by Larry Shackley, words by Pamela Martin. AFRICAN CHILDREN’S CHOIR CONCERT: Mountain View brings Africa to you! The African Children's Choir will be performing here March 14 at 7pm. Ticket donations help defray our costs. BETHLEHEM HANDCARVED RELIGIOUS WARES will be available on the patio between and after services the weekend of March 20 & 21. This craft is the major source of income for more than 120 Christian families residing in Bethlehem and helps them stay and reside in the Holy Land. HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR QUILTS/HELP NEEDED! As a Mountain View tradition, we will give graduating seniors a personalized quilt on Senior Sunday. If you are a graduating Senior in the 2010 class, please sign up for your quilt in the narthex. If you are interested and willing to help make a quilt for a senior, there will also be a sign up sheet in the Narthex. MEDICAL EQUIPMENT LOAN CLOSET: If you have borrowed equipment (wheel chairs, crutches, walkers. etc) and are no longer using these items please return them to the church office. CPR CLASS: If you are interested in current certification in CPR and the automatic external defibrillator, a class can be scheduled if we have a minimum of 5 people. The cost would be $25 per person. HIDDEN TREASURES THRIFT STORE needs YOU! If you have a couple hours to volunteer on any day, Mon. - Sat., then we are looking for you! We especially need someone to process our fabric donations (measure and price bundles of fabric). We would provide the guidelines and you could take the fabric home if you chose or do it at the store.
