WELCOME TO OUR NEW SENIOR PASTOR, PASTOR GLENN ZORB! We welcome Pastor Glenn and his wife, Sue, to Mountain View Lutheran Church! Join us TODAY in the Family Life Center after services for light refreshments after the Saturday 5:30 p.m. service and for brunch after the 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. services on Sunday. A more formal welcome celebration will be announced in the coming weeks.

VISITORS: We welcome you to worship here at Mountain View. As a way of saying “thank you” we have a gift for you at the desk in the front entry way of the worship center. Fill out the information card that is located in the rack in front of you, and bring it to the desk. Our gift to you is a travel mug, chock full of information about Mountain View.

SUMMER OF SON (S.O.S.) is a fun-filled, kid friendly worship time during the 5:30 Saturday and 10:00 Sunday morning worship times. Children (preschool-5th grade) are invited to the Family Life Center following the children’s message to enjoy this special Summer Sunday School. S.O.S. will run each summer weekend through August.

IT’S AS EASY AS ABC! See the clothesline display in the entryway to the worship center to help a foster child start the school year with a backpack and some school supplies. A - Choose a tag; B - Commit to shop for the child; C - Take the card with you shopping and bring items and the card back to Cindy’s office at church. Cash donations are also gratefully accepted. SAGES SUMMER LUNCH BUNCH: Sign up to go to Macayo’s on Tuesday, July 8th with the option of a movie afterwards. As always, we’ll car pool and go Dutch treat. Everyone is welcome. Any questions, call Roseland at 480-893-3288.

FAMILY PROMISE: Heeeeeere’s host week!!! Save the date, July 13-20. We will lay out the welcome mat and love our homeless families by providing food, shelter and compassion. If you are looking for a place to put God’s will for us into action, there is a table in the courtyard with information and volunteer opportunity. Need more information? MOUNTAIN VIEW’S MISSION CONGREGATION IN MARICOPA will be offering Vacation Bible School, the Rainforest Adventure, the week of July 14-18. If you or someone you know lives in Maricopa and would like to register or volunteer to help with VBS please go to www.maricopalutherans.org.

MIDDLE SCHOOL MANIA is starting on Monday, July 14th from 6:00-7:30pm at church. Come meet new friends, hang out, have some snacks, play some games and hear a message. FAREWELL AND GODSPEED FOR PASTOR GRANT BARNETT CHRISTENSON: Please mark your calendars for the weekend of July 26-27 as we say a hearty “Arrivaderci!” to Pastor Grant and Lindean as they prepare to move to Bozeman, MT. Join us in the Family Life Center after worship on Saturday the 26th for a Northern Italian dinner. A light brunch will be served after the 10 a.m. worship on July 27th. We’ll take time to tell stories, share some laughs, shed some tears, and send Pastor Grant on his way with God’s blessing.

MIDDLE SCHOOL BEACH CAMP JULY 21-25 is for students who have completed 6th-8th grade. The youth will travel to Thousand Oaks, California to enjoy some fun in the sun as we open our heads and hearts to the Living Water of Christ. FAMILY CAMP AUGUST 8-10: Applications are available in the entry to the Worship Center for Family Camp at Camp Aloma. Enjoy getting out of the heat for the first weekend after school starts in the cool pines of Prescott. Camp Aloma is a small Lutheran camp supported by our church located in the pines west of Prescott. Four meals are included with indoor sleeping and bathrooms. Enjoy fun activities with families, a playground for small children, time to relax and hike. Note that this years Family Camp is earlier than last year. CONVERSATIONAL EVANGELISM CONFERENCE is coming September 12 and 13. Mountain View will be hosting the conference which is co-sponsored by seven other local churches. Six of our current leaders attended this conferences two years ago and highly recommend it. Tickets will be available for purchase July 10th. HIDDEN TREASURES THRIFT STORE is in need of volunteers to help manage floor sales, as well as sort and price items. Mountain View has partnered with several east valley Lutheran churches to create this store, located at Galveston & Alma School Rd.
