Our Mission

Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we will develop Music Ministers through an inter-generational music program utilizing individual musical gifts for the purpose of expressing praise and spiritually enriching the worship experience.

 

 

Music Ministries

 

 

 

 

 

Adult Choirs

 

The Daybreak Singers sing at the 8:00 am service on Sundays, Sept - May. This devoted group of people, rehearse on Thursday mornings at 11:00 am and sing weekly. Come make a joyful noise and enjoy the early service with this choir.

 

The Sanctuary Choir sings at the 9:15 am service on Sundays, Sept – May. Rehearsals are on Wednesday at 6:30 pm. The Sanctuary choir sings traditional, contemporary and gospel music. They are the core choir for the festival choir which sings for cantatas and special occasions. The choir helps to lead the liturgy and hymns at the 9:15 service. All are welcome from high school ages on up. Currently there are choir seats available. No waiting!

 

The Festival Choir convenes about six weeks prior the Easter Passion Play and Christmas Cantata presentations. This choir is a temporary commitment for the festival holidays.

Bell Choirs

 

Chiming Cherubs (ages 3-6 years) rehearse at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesdays.

 

The GosBells (grades 4-12) rehearse at 6:00 p.m. on Mondays.

 

The Bells of Praise for adults and high school youth rehearse at 7:00 p.m. on Mondays.

Children’s Choir
Joyful Noiz (grades 1-5) rehearse from 5:00-6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Grace Notes (Orchestra)

 

The orchestra performs every 2-3 weeks for worship services from August to June. We have over 20 members who are involved in this multi-generational ministry. Rehearsals are from 7:00-8:30 p.m. on Thursdays.

Ahwatukee Brass

 

The Ahwatukee Brass is a brass quintet made up of members from Mountain View Lutheran Church. This group plays for special services and also provides community outreach. Visit their website at www.AhwatukeeBrass.com.

Worship Teams

 

Our two worship teams, Lighthouse (5:30pm Saturday night) and Cornerstone (10:45am Sunday) offer contemporary music in a Praise and Worship format. The music ranges from upbeat to melodious and features songs from today’s best Contemporary Christian artists and composers.

Organ Worship Music

 

We feature the Rodgers organ at our 8:00am and 9:15am Sunday services. In the summer, our organ is featured at the 8:30am service. The organ enhances the service and there is a beauty and realism in its tone, bringing worship close to the heart.
