Social Ministries

Our Purpose/Mission

“…For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me…I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.”

(Based on Matthew 25: 34-40)

General Information

Food bags and vouchers are given to local families in need each week, as well as local charities. We accept food and personal care items on a continual basis throughout the year (please place these items in the Food Pantry, which is located in the Education Building, or ask for assistance at the church office.

Some volunteer opportunities that we have available are...

  • We accept food and personal care items on a continual basis throughout the year. Please place items in the Food Pantry in the Education Building.
  • We have various "Volunteer Days" throughout the year. Just check the calendar or the monthly newsletter for the current event.
  • In addition, we could use extra hands in the continual sorting of items in the Food Pantry, and we need drivers to deliver donations to the agencies we support.

Visitors and new members are always welcome!

The Social Ministries Committee meets the first Tuesday of each month (August – May) from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Mountain View.
