Endowment Fund

At Mountain View Lutheran Church we have a rich tradition of extending ourselves beyond the local congregational programs. It is both appropriate, and with a vision for God’s marvelous future, that we want to provide a way to insure such farreaching work is accomplished.

General Information

The Extended Ministries Endowment Fund provides annual income for selected ministries currently not supported by Mountain View Lutheran Church. Only the earnings of the Endowment funds are used to extend the ministry of Jesus Christ in exciting and effective ways. Since the principal in the fund is never spent, endowment gifts “give forever.”

Under the guidance of the Endowment Committee, the congregation votes annually on funds distribution. The primary focus of the support resides in two main areas:

  • World Missions in the church
  • Seminary students to encourage individuals who feel the pastoral call

Grants do not replace contributions normally contained with the congregation’s annual budget. Earnings are distributed annually or as needs are determined.
