Dateable: Book Study
Don’t you wish that when you were a teenager there was a tried and true handbook about dating? It would have kept a lot of us from making some really bad decisions. Our teenagers are lucky, because a great book has been written to help teens (Christian or not) walk the right path when it comes to dating. The best-selling book, Dateable, pulls no punches in telling teens the truth about dating while also directing their passion toward a greater purpose in life.
Now, it’s more than just getting the book (available at Café Soul, by the way) and handing off to your teen. You need to read it first, and even better, we’re giving you a chance to discuss it with other parents of teens and soon-to-be teens, with a Sunday morning discussion series starting on January 13 during the 9:15 service. For more information, contact Scott at 480-296-5574 or scott1harris@cox.net.

Why was it so difficult to agree on the person of Jesus? Come to these classes on early Christianity lead by Pastor Ken and get all of the answers! Wednesdays at XTRA, 6:15pm, January 9-30, Sanctuary.

From his baptism to his crucifixion, the Gospels portray Jesus as a man of prayer who knew and deeply valued intimate communication with his heavenly Father. Prayer was the backbone of Jesus’ life and ministry. The deeper connection series is unique, with a DVD and book study presentation that includes historical and cultural background, a close look at the biblical text and its meaning, and accurate, encouraging and challenging applications of the Bible’s message to life today. Wednesdays at XTRA, 6:15pm, January 9-30. Contact Jodi Bollig (bolligaf@cox.net) or Inge Mack (ingeborg07@hotmail.com). Sign up in the Narthex so we can order books.
